Bond has been set at $50,000 for a Thomson, Illinois man accused of leading police on a chase in Marshall and La Salle counties.
Thirty-eight-year-old James Tracy appeared in front of a judge Tuesday morning in Ottawa. He's charged with two counts of aggravated fleeing and one count of aggravated assault using a motor vehicle. Tracy needs $5,000 to bond out. He's asked for time to seek his own lawyer. Tracy is due back in court May 6th for arraignment.
He was jailed Monday afternoon after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase that started in Lostant and ended in Utica. Tracy is accused of swerving into law enforcement at various times with his pickup truck.
