It's home sweet home for a movie theater owner in Princeton.
Jay Schneider says he gets to come home this week after spending more than 3 months in a Peoria hospital and Chicago rehabilitation center. He was rushed to Peoria in January after a sledding accident. Schneider had several surgeries and will need the use of a wheelchair.
While out injured, the Apollo Theater in Princeton has been closed. Schneider says in a social media post that they “most definitely” plan to reopen soon. He says it depends on “how fast we can figure out how to run it with me in a wheelchair”.
A Go Fund Me page to help the Schneider family with medical expenses has raised nearly $35,000.
