Already facing a host of prior weapons charges, a Peru man has two new weapons counts on his wrap sheet.
A La Salle County Grand Jury has indicted 20-year-old Mariano Verucchi for unlawful possession of a stolen firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm. He's locked up needing $100,000 to bond out.
Back on February 26th, Ottawa Police stopped a vehicle. Inside of it, they say they found a stolen handgun, ammunition and brass knuckles. Officers tied the stolen gun and ammo to Verucchi.
He's also facing a prior gun count in La Salle County, fleeing and weapons charges in Grundy County and armed violence, drug and weapons charges in Kane County.
