Some people just can't seem to stay out of trouble.
Given a break in the form of probation last year after pleading guilty to a gun charge, 22-year-old Kevin Jones of Peru now is headed to prison after getting in trouble for using someone else's debit or credit card, thus breaking terms of his probation. A judge revoked his probation and sentenced Jones Friday to four years in prison.
After a scuffle in November of 2019, Jones admitted to firing at a vehicle that had two men inside. He missed the targets, instead leaving bullet holes in a back door of Beck's in La Salle. That led to a felony charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm.
