There's still no conclusion in a drug-induced homicide case in La Salle County.
Thirty-nine-year-old Heather Reynolds was back in front of a judge Thursday morning for a status hearing. The sides agreed to set March 18th as the date for a final pretrial hearing.
Reynolds is accused of providing 31-year-old Jacalyn Norris with a lethal amount of drugs last February. Norris was found dead at the Sands Motel in Ottawa from an apparent overdose. Tests showed Norris’ death resulted from fentanyl and a synthetic opioid that’s said to be 15 times stronger than morphine.
Reynolds is locked up in the La Salle County Jail needing $100,000 to bond out. If convicted, she could be sent to prison for up to 30 years.
