Ten IVCC healthcare students will benefit from thousand-dollar scholarships thanks to the generosity of Dr. Kamal Kishore, the owner of Illinois Retina & Eye Associates of Peru, Peoria and Galesburg.
The Kamal Kishore MD scholarships will support IVCC students in healthcare careers that include pre-med, and will cover tuition, books and related expenses. Illinois Valley Community College President Jerry Corcoran says Kishore is giving back by investing in future doctors and medical professionals.
Kishore is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist, and he also serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. His Peru office is at 3602 Marquette Road.
