73-year old Louise Harmon of rural Utica died in her home Friday, August 27. Mass of Christian Burial and the interment will be private. There will be no visitation.
Louise Harmon is survived by her husband, Gary, four children, Chris of Los Angeles, Missy and husband Mike Harms of Glenview, Jason of North Utica and Nick of La Salle and two grandsons, Colin and Tristan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Carroll, half-brothers, Kenneth Carroll, and Robert Gaffney and half-sister Kay Stein.
She married Gary Harmon of Waltham in 1968. They started and operated several businesses including Starved Rock Amoco, Whispers Gift Shop and later, Hickory Hollow Campground with partners, Fred and Sandy Esmond. Louise enjoyed the company of her employees and regular customers.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise's memory may be directed to the family for her favorite charities. Burgess Funeral Home in Utica is handling arrangements.
