Comfort a Hero

Marine Corps veteran Matthew Curtis Brown of rural Mendota will receive a brand-new Rheem comfort system just in time for the coldest winter weather. Matt is the winner of this year's Comfort a Hero promotion, sponsored by Triple Service and Starved Rock Media.

Matt's a single dad of four young children. Matt served our country in the Marines from 2001 to 2005. The now-disabled vet was on active duty on 9/11, and he helped with disaster relief in Haiti, among other postings.

Gabe and Michelle Wade of Triple Service dropped by WLPO's studios Monday morning to make the announcement. Gabe said that Matt, indeed, is a hero in need.

Michelle Wade says the Comfort A Hero effort is something Triple Service feels privileged to be part of.
