COVID-19

New COVID-19 cases this week have been cut by about a third. That from the La Salle County Health Department. New cases on Friday were 66 compared with 91 last week. Recovered cases now are 82, slightly lower than the last report. The CDC says the Community Level in La Salle County remains low ….or the color “Green”.

According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, nine counties – all in the lower third of the state – have elevated levels of COVID. Only one of the nine – Clay County in southeast Illinois – shows a high Community level.

La Salle County Health Department urges everyone 6 months of age and older to get vaccinated and all eligible individuals to get a bivalent booster.
