The brother of the so-called “Accountability Angel” suffered a defeat in court.
Judge Michael Jansz on Tuesday denied Jacob Farmer's motion to substitute out Judge H. Chris Ryan. After making that ruling, Jansz set a new status hearing for Farmer on October 26th back in front of Judge Ryan.
The La Salle County Sheriff's Office and prosecutors say Jacob Farmer and his sister Angel tussled with security back in March while trying to get inside the government complex in Ottawa. One officer was checked out at OSF in Ottawa after the altercation. Angel Farmer faces three counts of battery and one count of resisting a peace officer. She is due back in court for a hearing next month. Jacob faces a misdemeanor count of obstructing a peace officer.
The altercation was filmed like many prior visits to government buildings by the so-called “Accountability Angel”. She has claimed that her rights were violated and that she was battered and kidnapped during the ordeal.
