Pork & Pigskins Championship

Which high school in the valley has the best concession stand pork chop sandwich?

Nearly 80 high schools across Illinois were picked to compete in the inaugural “Pork & Pigskins Championship”. After more than 123,000 votes were cast, Hall, St. Bede and Flanagan-Cornell are all still alive in the competition, advancing to the so-called “Savory 16”.

The winning school gets a prize package from the Illinois Pork Producers Association that includes a $500 reimbursement on their pork purchase for next season; a state championship banner, and a golden spatula.

Judges from the IHSA will now head to Hall, St. Bede and the other 14 finalists to taste their concession stand pork chops first hand.
