Have a home-improvement project you've been putting off? Don't we all?
You'll soon have a new tool in your belt while shopping for building supplies, and new opportunities to learn about DIY projects and more.
The Habitat for Humanity “Habitat ReStore” at 1001 Shooting Park Road in Peru, will have its grand-opening Saturday (5-22) from 10-6. The 28 thousand square-foot store, run by the Habitat of Humanity of La Salle-Bureau-Putnam Counties, will house a vast array of new and used building materials as well as furniture, household goods and lawn and garden supplies.
In addition, the ReStore will offer a community center for educational, financial and home ownership classes as well as DIY and art workshops. The building will also serve the community as a gathering place for other organizations and groups.
