Ever wish you had a golf cart handy to go somewhere that may be too close to drive a car to or too far to walk?
The La Salle City Council meets Monday night and one item on the agenda is discussion and potential action regarding a request to re-evaluate the city's “Non-Highway Vehicle Ordinance”. Specifically it's whether or not to legalize things like golf carts and motorized bicycles.
When this topic came up at the last council meeting, Alderman Jordan Crane said he wanted public input while Alderman Jim Bacidore is against opening up La Salle streets to golf carts and the like because of the risk of injury and operators disregarding traffic signals and the rules of the road.
If you have any thoughts of golf carts being allowed in La Salle, Monday's meeting starts at 6:30.
