A convicted felon is accused of looking to sell cocaine in La Salle County.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jonathan Hart of Chicago was booked into the La Salle County Jail Wednesday night for possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver. He was arrested by the Ottawa Police Department after they looked into a complaint about a group of people smoking pot inside a vehicle on East McKinley Road.
Hart is currently on parole after being sentenced to 12 years in prison for armed robbery in Cook County back in 2012. The new drug charge is a Class 1 felony which brings 4 to 15 years in prison if convicted.
Bond has been set at a million dollars.
