The latest member of the one million dollar bond club in La Salle County is an alleged cocaine dealer.
Forty-one-year-old Benjamin Sappington of Ottawa was booked on a warrant Saturday for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. According to court records, he was selling cocaine last June. The Ottawa Police Department led the investigation. Sappington was already awaiting on a possible trial for unrelated charges of aggravated DUI and driving with a suspended license.
He needs $100,000 to bond out of the La Salle County Jail.
